Chief of the State Migration Service met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to our country

Chief of State Migration Service (SMS) Vusal Huseynov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to our country Michael Kindsgrab.

Service chief emphasized that this meeting was very important for further strengthening the economic and political relations between the two countries. Vusal Huseynov noted that the growth of competitiveness of Azerbaijan's economy in recent years has made our country attractive both in terms of business investment and tourist flows. Therefore creating favorable conditions for businessmen coming to Azerbaijan along with the preventing illegal migration  is one of the priorities. Touching upon friendly and partnership relations between the two countries, Chief of State Migration Service Vusal Huseynov underlined the importance of the Agreement  between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany on cooperation in the field of migration.

Expressing his gratitude for the warm welcome, Ambassador Michael Kindsgrab highly appreciated the growing economic potential of Azerbaijan and expressed his confidence that the meeting would make a great contribution to the development of mutual cooperation. Mr. Kingsgrab said that German businessmen were interested in the development of business activities in Azerbaijan and expressed satisfaction with the conditions created by the Azerbaijani government in this field.

The meeting focused on implementation of projects in the sphere of migration, arrangement of high-level mutual visits, activity of the German-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce and other perspectives of cooperation.
