169 foreigners detained within the measures against illegal migration by State Migration Service

As a result of the measures taken by State Migration Service against illegal migration 169 foreigners were detained. Among them 8 citizens of Pakistan, 1 citizen of India and 1 citizen of Iraq were detained as a result of the joint measures with the State Security Service, as well as 4 citizens of Pakistan were detained as a result of the joint measures with the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

It was determined that 11 of the detained persons violated declared purpose of their arrival in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the other 158 persons were living illegally in the country.

Administrative decisions were taken about 150 of those foreigners and measures are underway for the expulsion of the remaining foreigners from the territory of the country.
