State Migration Service held a seminar in the Shamakhi branch of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University

 The Aghsu Regional Migration Department of the State Migration Service  held legal awareness seminar on “Rules of obtaining documents entitling to reside on the territory of the country for foreigners and stateless persons studying at the comprehensive educational  institutions of the Republic of Azerbaijan” and “Establishment of citizenship affiliation” at the Shamakhi branch of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University with the participation of professors and other academic staff, focal points, methodologists, relevant experts, as well as foreigners and stateless persons receiving education.

Tunzala Yusifova, Director of the ASPU Shamakhi branch talked about the importance of the seminar which serves to ensuring public awareness and increasing legal knowledge of the population, as well as foreigners and stateless persons in the field of migration. She thanked for the organization of such an awareness event on behalf of the participants.

Authorized officers of the Aghsu Regional Migration Department gave detailed information on recent amendments to the legislation.

It was also pointed out that the SMS has been assigned to provide "one-stop shop" services in the regulation and management of migration processes across our country. Consistent measures are being taken to provide citizens with a convenient, flexible and transparent services at the headquarters of the Service and regional migration departments.

Detailed information about electronic services of the State Migration Service was provided at the seminar. The rules of using electronic services were explained through video slides.

Questions on the topic were answered in accordance with the legislation and exchange of views was carried out.
