State Migration Service held workshop on "Impact of ensuring global peace and stability on international migration flows"

The next event within the framework of "Peace month" declared in our country on the occasion of 21 September – the UN “International Day of Peace”, was organized by State Migration Service (SMS) in Ganja.

Members of community, foreigners and stateless persons participated in the workshop on "Impact of ensuring global peace and stability on international migration flows".

Head of the Ganja regional migration department Orkhan Khidirov noted that peace is one of the most desirable values of humanity. He spoke about the essence of the "International Day of Peace ", the role of peace and stability in the development of peoples and states, as well as conditions established for foreigners in our country. He informed the participants about the activity directions of SMS.

Division Chief of International Cooperation Department of the Service Kanan Jafarov made a speech at the event. He said that the migration process, which has always played a great role in the history of mankind, is clearly manifested in the modern international relations system. Particularly, the number of foreigners coming to Azerbaijan is increasing year by year, where the stability and development have established. Therefore, migration issues are one of the priorities in our country.

At the end of the event the questions interested participants were answered.
