The Chief of State Migration Service met with the Ambasssador of Turkmenistan

The Chief of State Migration Service, Vusal Huseynov met with the Ambasssador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan in Azerbaijan, Mekan Ishanguliyev.

At the meeting which was of an introductory nature views on the expansion of bilateral relations in the field of migration was exchanged.

V.Huseynov talked about the innovations on the activity directions of the State Migration Service. He stated that in addition to a number of important areas, important measures are being taken to improve migration legislation, regulate the labor market, prevent illegal migration, bring the criteria in line with international best practice and ensure the satisfaction of foreigners and stateless persons.

Ambassador Mekan Ishanguliyev stated that historical friendly relations exist between our nations. He noted that we have all the necessary potential to strengthen our cooperation in political, economic, diplomatic, trade and cultural spheres. The diplomat emphasized that historical trade routes have passed through our countries. All of these makes migration a trending topic. Ambassador said that he attaches great importance to the development of cooperation with the Service.

At the meeting other issues of mutual interest in the migration field were discussed.
