Statistics of State Migration Service for May
During May, as a result of the measures taken and investigations carried out 1696 decisions were made by State Migration Service on violation of migration, as well as administrative legislation in the country by foreigners and stateless persons.
1126 decisions were related to imposition of the penalty without administrative expulsion from the territory of the country for infringement of the relevant requirements of articles of Administrative Offences Code, including 899 decisions on leaving the country, 227 decisions on legalization of residence within the territory of the country.
Out of 506 decisions on restriction of entry to the country 452 decisions were on imposition of penalty with administrative expulsion from the territory of the country for infringement of the relevant requirements of articles of Administrative Offences Code and 54 decisions on violating requirements of the relevant articles of Migration Code.
27 decisions on replacing the document for temporary and permanent residence with a new one and 23 decisions on failing to take measures for timely registration and deregistration of foreigners and stateless persons upon the place of stay, in a way envisaged by Migration Code, by citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan or foreigners and stateless persons residing in Azerbaijan who provided residential area to them, were made. 14 decisions were made on the violation of other provisions of the legislation.
In total during May, State Migration Service received 6519 applications from foreigners and stateless persons on extension of temporary staying period, issuance of temporary and permanent residence permissions, revocation and restoration of citizenship, as well as establishment of citizenship and determination of refugee status, as well as issuance work permits for carrying out labor activity and extension of the period of existing work permits. Each application was investigated individually in accordance with legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan and relevant decisions were made.
During May, 56607 foreigenrs and stateless persons applied for registration upon the place of stay.
The Service organized 7 awareness-raising events and 2 mobile services during the month.
