The chief of State Migration Service met with the Ambassador of Israel to Azerbaijan

On May 23 the chief of State Migration Service Vusal Huseynov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Israel to our country Dan Stav.

At the meeting, which was of an introductory nature, the prospects of the expansion of the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israel in the field of migration were touched upon.

Chief of the Service spoke about the existing relations between two countries. He gave general information on the activities of the State Migration Service.  Taking into account the expansion of tourism opportunities in our country and creation of relevant infrastructure, as well as availability of direct flights between the two countries, chief of the Service expressed confidence that Azerbaijan will be more attractive for tourists arriving from Israel.  

Ambassador Dan Stav mentioned that as a result of the recent measures carried out by the Government of Azerbaijan over the recent period to promote tourism, there has been an increase in the number of Israeli citizens travelling to Azerbaijan. He also noted that he will not spare his efforts during his diplomatic posting in Azerbaijan in the direction of expanding closer cooperation with the Azerbaijani State Migration Service and the relevant Israeli agencies.

At the meeting the sides exchanged their views on bilateral relations, strengthening the treaty base and other issues of mutual interest.
