Statistical Information of State Migration Service of The Republic of Azerbaijan for April 2018

1735 decisions were made by State Migration Service on violation of migration, as well as administrative legislation in the Republic of Azerbaijan during April, 2018.

Measures conducted by SMS for the purpose of enhancing state control over migration processes in our country, as well as combating illegal migration were continued.

During April, 2018, 1735 decisions were made on violation of migration, as well as administrative legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan by foreigners and stateless persons as a result of measures and investigations conducted in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan. 

1194 decisions, including 962 decisions on leaving the country, 232 decisions on legalization of residence within the territory of the country were made on imposition of the penalty without administrative expulsion from the territory of the country for infringement of the relevant requirements of articles of Administrative Offences Code. 489 decisions on restriction of entry to the country included 436 decisions on imposition of penalty with administrative expulsion from the territory of the country for infringement of the relevant requirements of articles of Administrative Offences Code and 53 decisions on violating requirements of the relevant articles of Migration Code. 20 decisions on renewing the document for temporary and permanent residence and 32 decisions on failing to take measures for timely registration and deregistration of foreigners and stateless persons upon the place of stay, in a way envisaged by Migration Code, by citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan or foreigners and stateless persons residing in Azerbaijan who gave residential area to them, were made.

In total during the April, 2018 State Migration Service received 7366 applications on extending temporary staying period, obtaining temporary and permanent residence permissions, revocation and restoration of citizenship, as well as establishing citizenship and determining refugee status, issuing work permits for carrying out labor activity and extending period of existing work permits by foreigners and stateless persons. Each application was investigated individually in accordance with legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan and relevant decisions were made.

During the April, 53729 applications of foreigners and stateless persons on registration upon place of stay were registered.

The Service organized 20 awareness-raising events during the month.
