The information of State Migration Service

Some news sites published false information about the conditions on detention of Indian citizens, who were placed at Baku city Detention Center for Illegal Migrants of State Migration Service and whose illegally residence in the country was revealed during measures on fighting against illegal migration conducted by the Service.

In this regard team of photographers, cameramen, and journalists from “Azertag” news agency were invited at Baku city Detention Center for Illegal Migrants. The representatives of press get closely acquainted with conditions created at the Center, met with Hossain Abdulla from whose name the information was disseminated and interviewed him.

As State Migration Service, we declared that Indian citizens are kept at Detention Center for Illegal Migrants in groups of 6 persons. They provided with standard nutrition three times a day and they don’t have any complaints about staff of the Service.

In general, Detention Center for Illegal Migrants fits with international standards and all necessary measures on protection of rights and freedoms of foreigners and stateless persons are taken at these centers. Director General of International Organization for Migration William Lacy Swing, during his visit to Azerbaijan, highly valued conditions created in these centers.
