The results of the assessment on "ASAN service index" have been announced

A ceremony was held related with presentation of the assessment results on “ASAN service index” and innovations applied in Baku on September 21.

According to AZERTAG the presentation was realized with joint organization of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and ADA University.

Deputy Chair of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ulvi Mehdiyev delivering a speech at the event mentioned that the assessment of public services on criteria forming "ASAN service index" was finalized. This assessment indicated deficiencies and shortcomings existing in services rendered by state authorities. The assessment result on “ASAN service index” will guide improvement of those services in the future.

It was noted that the result covers 412 services by ministries of Interior, Taxes, Justice, Economy, Labour and Social Protection of Population, State Migration Service, State Committee on Property Issues, State Customs Committee, National Archive Department, State Service for Mobilization and Conscription and executive bodies of Baku districts. The reports on these results will be submitted to the authorities via the Electronic Register of Public Services. All services of the state authorities will be evaluated in the future.

Later Ilhama Gadimova, head of legal support division of the State Agency made a presentation on the results of “ASAN service index”. She mentioned that according to the results of assessment Ministry of Taxes, State Migration Service, State Committee on Property Issues, Executive Body of Binagadi district are on the top of the list. It is intended to apply a number of novelties on the assessment plan 2017-2018. Thus a website - data analysis system on monitoring of public services which enables to evaluate services rendered at the state authorities will be established.

In his speech vice-rector of ADA University stressed that the University collaborates with the State Agency on evaluating public services. The existing cooperation will be further continued in this direction.

According to the Decree of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on “Measures related with establishment of the Electronic Register of Public Services” dated September 11, 2014 in order to collect information on public services in a single source and systematize it the Electronic Register of Public Services was established and launched for the use of citizens.
