State Migration Service held an awareness raising event in Naftalan 

An event was held for the purpose of public awareness on migration legislation in Naftalan city which is included to the service area of Ganja Regional Migration Department.

At the event lectures were delivered on “Measures by State Migration Service to combat illegal migration: administrative liability envisaged by the Code of Administrative Offences and latest amendments in migration legislation”, “Services rendered by State Migration Service related with foreigners and stateless persons, as well as investigation of person’s affiliation to the citizenship of the Republic of Azerbaijan, acquisition, restoration and revocation of citizenship”.

The arrival of numerous foreigners in resort city Naftalan and the necessity of their registration following the requirements of migration legislation were brought to the attention and the duties of the receiving party for this purpose were explained at the meeting in which rapid development of tourism sector that is determined as one of the priority areas in our country under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev was emphasized.

At the end the questions interested the participants were answered.

The event was attended by representatives of local entrepreneurial subjects, hotels and boarding houses, relevant state authorities, workers of educational and health institutions, representatives of local executive body and municipality.
