Statistical information of the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan for May 2017
Relevant measures towards implementation of state policy in migration sphere, strengthening state control over migration processes, management and regulation of migration processes, as well as prevention of illegal migration have been conducted by the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan during May 2017.
During the month, 1856 decisions were made on infringement of migration, as well as administrative legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan by foreigners and stateless persons as a result of events and investigations conducted in Baku city, as well as other cities and districts of the Republic. Lost documents of 27 foreigners for temporary or permanent residence were replaced with new ones. The residence of 220 of them in the country was legalized. Decisions were made to impose fine on 887 persons without administrative removal from the territory of the country and to impose fine on 458 persons with administrative removal from the territory of the country, in accordance with Article 16.1.8 of Migration Code to restrict arrival of 264 persons to the territory of the country.
In total during the month State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan received 7667 applications on extension of temporary staying period, granting temporary and permanent residence permissions, adoption, revocation and restoration of citizenship, as well as establishment of citizenship and determination of refugee status, issuing work permits for carrying out labor activity and extending period of existing work permits from foreigners and stateless persons. Each application was investigated in accordance with legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan and relevant decisions were made.
56600 applications for registration upon place of stay were registered during the last month.
During the month State Migration Service held 8 awareness raising events in different regions of the republic, as well as rendered mobile service in 3 districts.
